Our Season
2010-2011 Season
Pippin
directed by Nathaniel Motta
(October-November 2010)
With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, a book by Roy O. Hirson, and originally choreographed and directed on Broadway by Bob Fosse, Pippin
details one young man’s search for true fulfillment. This quest leads Pippin,
the son of Charlemagne, to seek out life’s truths in the glories of war, the
comfort of women, the seduction of power, and ultimately in the simple joys
of family. Along the way, Pippin gives us classics like “Magic to Do”, “Corner
of the Sky”, “With You”, and “Morning Glow”. This concept musical will be a
thought-provoking, high energy, multimedia production that will be both a visually electrifying and an emotionally stirring theatre experience.

Our Town
directed by Nathaniel Motta
(December 2010)
Thornton Wilder’s American classic about the citizens of Grover’s Corners addresses the subjects of love, marriage, and death within the context of life in
a small New England town at the start of the twentieth century. With the Stage Manager as the audience’s guide, the play is a character study that centers
around George Gibbs and Emily Webb whose mutual affection grows and
effects decisions that guide the course of their lives. Using minimal sets and props, and the device of the play itself, the audience must rely on the skill of the actors, the guidance of the Stage Manager, and Wilder’s words to weave the
story of this landmark of the American stage.
