Godspell

Rehearsals:  Rehearsals will be five days a week from 4:30-8:00 PM. Because of holidays and other schedule related issues, the rehearsal schedule for this production will vary a bit week-to-week.  You will receive the entire rehearsal schedule at the first rehearsal.  While this schedule is subject to change, we will try to follow it as closely as possible.  Please note that not everyone is called to every rehearsal.  On days when you are scheduled, it is possible that you will
not be needed for the entire 3.5 hours. The rehearsal period for Godspell is
November 3rd thru January 11th (we will have a 2 week break during “winter break”), followed by tech week January 12th thru January 15th.  Tech week rehearsals run into the evening hours but no later than 9:00 pm.

We may – if necessary – add 1 or 2 rehearsals over winter break
pending cast availability.

Each cast member is allowed one unexcused absence. (It may not be used during the week of Jan 12th – Jan. 15th).  Lauren Calevich is the Production Stage Manager and all absences must be called in to Sarah Konishi (Assistant Stage Manager) as soon as possible at (216)409-1325

Performances: Godspell runs Fridays, Jan. 16 & Jan. 30; Saturdays, Jan. 17,
Jan. 24 & Jan. 31; Sunday, Jan. 25.  All Saturday and Sunday performances are

are at 1:00 PM. Friday cast calls are at 6:00 PM. You must be free for ALL
performances and any additional performances, INCLUDING ANY
PUBLICITY PERFORMANCES
that may be added to this time frame.

by Friday, Oct. 31st.  There is no phone notification.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT CASTING:
Godspell is a true ensemble show.  Every cast member remains on stage the entire production and is consistently engaged.  The cast for this show will be very small (by HYT standards), and will feature mostly older cast members; however, a handful of younger performers will be used.  This show contains an incredible amount of improvisation and ad-libbing and requires strong ACTORS first and foremost.  While all cast members must sing, it is the acting that carries this piece.  Because of the nature of this show, every role is considered a lead – which is why we have removed the “lead only” option from the audition form.

***Our first rehearsal is Monday, November 3rd, 4:30 PM for the full cast at the Wiley Middle School auditorium (2181 Miramar Blvd.,
University Heights, 44118)***

All cast parents are required to attend and informational meeting
on Monday, November 3rd at 8:00 PM in the auditorium at
Wiley Middle School. At that time, all aspects of our production and
important general information will be handed out and discussed.
You will
also get to meet the director. It is mandatory that at least one parent attend.

Please Note: Upon acceptance of a role, a $90 production fee
($75 for second child) and registration form will be due at the parent meeting
on Monday, November 3rd. Board members will be available one half hour
prior to and after the parent meeting to accept payment and form.

Cast members cannot attend rehearsals unless this fee is paid
.
